Our Events
We've raced enough events that we know what people like and don't like. We think we understand what it takes to make a great race. One that people will want to plan on their racing schedule before the date is announced! We're excited about the 2008 season. Check back from time to time as more events are added.
THE 2008 SNOWSHOE SERIES
Our three snowshoe races are organized as a series. Individual and team points will be awarded for each race using a very simple scoring system. For instance, if there are 50 competitors, the first place racer will earn 50 points, 49 points for second place, and so forth. At the end of the series a men's, women's, and team champion will be crowned. The men's and women's series champions will each receive a pair of Red Feather RACE snowshoes*. In addition, any individual who competes in all three events will be eligible to win a pair of Red Feather RACE snowshoes* to be drawn immediately following Winter's Last Hurrah Snowshoe Scramble in Biddeford!

Both outstanding individual performance and team turnout will be rewarded. The team standings will be determined by the following formula;
The cumulative finish points (see above) for up to the Top 3 athletes on each team will count 75%. The cumulative finish points for the entire team will count the remaining 25%.
If you show up to race for your team your performance will count regardless of your ability!

RACE
Yes, more than likely these are the snowshoes you saw on the guy who won the last race. And the one before that, etc, etc. Redfeather RACE snowshoes have been on the podium more than any other snowshoes made. So enough about whole grains already, maybe you should try a pair of these puppies next race. more
