*SPECIAL WINTER WEATHER ANNOUCEMENT* (Updated 09/17/2009)
New Hampshire winter weather can be very unpredictable and occasionally make travel hazardous.  For the safety of our volunteers, competitors, and family a final determination on the status of our races will be made the Thursday prior to each race.  The status of the race ("ON" or "POSTPONED") will be detailed on each individual race webpage (ie. the page you are presently viewing).  You must check this webpage prior to the race to assure the race will be held.  Every attempt will be made to reschedule all postponed events.  Pre-registered competitors will be given a refund or rain check.

All pre-registered competitors will receive special *BONUS* race updates via e-mail with exclusive inside information including course maps.  This information will only be released to pre-registered racers.  In addition, all pre-registered competitors will be eligible to receive *SPECIAL* prizes that will be presented at registration!

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The approximately 9 km course will include a mixture of groomed nordic, ungroomed snowshoe, and backcountry bushwhack singletrack.  As the name would suggest, the Pooh Hill Trail plays a prominent role in the course design.  Expect a roughly 1/3 of a mile climb to just below the summit of Toll Hill and a bushwhack descent.  Brook crossings and log hurdles are just some of the unique features of this course.  That's not enough you say?  How about this...thanks to our friends at Kahtoola, one lucky snowshoer will go home with a brand new pair of Kahtoola FLIGHTdeck TS snowshoes!

A part of the proceeds benefit the Laura Mahoney Autism & Epilepsy Foundation .

Rules: minimum snowshoe size 120 square inches
